The Zephyr/IP delivers real time mobile broadcasting without the need for dedicated services or wires.Using the MPEG-ELD, the Zephyr/IP has excellent audio quality and sophisticated new technology tooperate successfully over IP links such as the public Internet and mobile IP services. Using Agile Connection Technology the Zephyr/IP continuously monitors and adapts to network conditions, is aware of dynamic IP address changes and gets through firewalls and NATs to give you the highest quality audio with the lowest possible delay. International connections aren’t a problem and there are no more per-minute or setup charges.

Open and Compatible

Going wireless with the Zephyr/IP doesn’t require purchasing proprietary or closed source equipment. Utilizing an approved USB wireless adapter, such as the Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB adapter for Wi-Fi and the Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U for Sprint EVDO service, going wireless is simple.

The Z/IP supports open standards for signaling (SIP), transport (RTP) and codecs (G.711, G.722, MPEG codecs, linear PCM).  In fact, the Z/IP can register and accept calls from your VoIP PBX as long as it supports SIP 2.0 and the G.711 and G.722 codecs.

Far Beyond The Rest

Mobile connections are among the most challenging. Available bandwidth is usually lower and less consistent than on wired connections and there is often more packet loss and jitter. Here's where the Zephyr/IP's Agile Connection Technology and the efficient AAC-ELD codec can make all the difference. The new AAC-ELD codec has excellent audio quality at low bitrates, and ACT adapts to varying mobile link conditions.
